Third Time Around
Today was Jaelyn’s 3rd birthday. No longer a 1 or 2 year old girl but three! Talk about progress! She seems like she has been around for about ten years and has grown so much in the past year. She is now climbing out the bed, loves to take baths, washing dishes in the sink, and sort of geting the potty thing together.
She woke up this morning bright and early as usual! She knew that this was her birthday and was very excited. So I expected the good times to keep rolling. Well, we took cupcakes and juice boxes to her gymnastics class at StickIt. Her friends were very nice and decided to sing to her but Jaelyn didn’t want them to sing and made her wish clear. It was embassasing to say the least. Jayne’ and I wanted to evaporate her and ourselves. We will never forget it.
Grandpa came from MD at the end of the gymnastics time. We went around town to shop and then came back to the house to eat, lit a candle and sang happy birthday. After an exhausting and eventful day we were drained in every way.
